South Caswell Concept Plan →

Thanks for posting this, Sarah.  I was aware of the plan, but hadn’t read it yet.  The original survey was posted online in the first month that we lived in the area.

Caswell Hill treated us well, and I’m excited to watch this develop!

BTW, did you see the concept plan that included a grow-op and seniors’ strip club?

Yeah I’ve read a bit about it before too, but never the whole thing until yesterday. It is too bad that only 65 residences took the time to answer the survey. Seems like more input would have been better. I enjoy the final plan, although I would have liked to see the one with the stripping seniors growing pot! Haha! I’m curious to see what type of multi family density they are meaning, since the report said they are going above the usual percentage for density. I hope the buildings aren’t too big and monstrous in scale compared to everything else. I can see some of the folks from AODBT in the group meeting pics, so I have some faith in it! Where abouts are you living now? I thought it was still in Caswell?

Hrm, maybe I misunderstood: I thought they simply meant it would be above density for the rest of the area, which wouldn’t be difficult since Caswell is largely single family homes.  Perhaps not.  But the concept plan I mentioned was in the appendix somewhere, if you’re interested.

We *wanted* to stay in Caswell, but there just wasn’t anything available for us.  Everything was either a sideways step or a downgrade, so we moved five blocks over, into Westmount.  Everything ended up needing to move so fast on our sale that we were limited to buying something already empty or not selling our home at all.  Have to say, this is *not* the sort of house I ever pictured us buying.  Ever.
