Getting a head start!
I started working on my taxes today - sort of.  I was putting a spreadsheet together for my accountant (Mom) of my income and expenses.  Proud to say that I made a significant profit again this year! If I can keep this up, my art will actually continue to pay for itself and more.

Who else dislikes artist statements?
I rarely enjoy reading other people’s artist statements, and I enjoy my own even less.  Its been a couple years, and now I’m the position where I’m trying to write another one.  After the difficulty I had with this at the end of university, I’m not exactly relishing the prospect of doing it all over again.  Maybe it wouldn’t be so hard if I felt like a revision on the...

What I learned this week...
- I am still a horrible procrastinator, but at least I fill my procastinating time by doing useful things around the house. - People who work from home have more motivation when they dress as if they were leaving home to work.  I’ve experienced that myself, and its so true.  No PJ days for me. - I can get Sirius radio on my ipod.  Freaking sweet. And the week’s not even over yet....

Making Additional Work For Myself.
Today I realized that because I pin up my drawings a few feet from where I sit at my desk, I gradually start to think of them as being smaller and more tiny/detailed than they actually are.  As a result, my drawings start to become smaller and smaller and smaller, resulting in some serious scale issues between new and old work.
